Binchotan Kirikomaru Charcoal from Laos - 1kg

Kirikomaru Charcoal has been expertly made by The Lau Company using time-honoured Japanese techniques. This premium charcoal is produced from sustainably harvested Laotian hardwood, slowly carbonised in clay kilns to create dense, clean-burning sticks ideal for both home cooks and chefs.

Each piece is cut in the traditional kirikomaru style, rounded with smooth ends, measuring approximately 2.0–3.5 cm in diameter and 10–20 cm in length. This size makes it easy to handle and perfect for use in konro grills, hibachi setups or charcoal barbecues.

Binchotan charcoal is prized for its performance, it burns hot and consistently for up to 4–5 hours, making it ideal for longer grilling sessions. With no additives or no binders, the pure, carbonised hardwood produces almost no smoke and won’t affect the natural flavour of your food.

Widely used in Japan for yakitori, robata-style grilling, and high-end barbecue cooking, this Laotian binchotan offers excellent heat and clean performance.
